Ah, yes! I finished out my novel draft. I thought I would finish at 120k last summer, at Christmas I was hoping for 150k...

The actual finish, after I'd cornered and pinned down every character and loose thread, was 171,000 words, which, printed out double-spaced, is the size of one of those old American Heritage Dictionaries. But! It's done, and I was quite pleased, and now I'm diving into editing: trying to get a holistic sense of the story's shape and, ultimately, trimming out the fat while making it all as tasty as possible. One page at a time.

Also, it's summertime and I'm unemployed (though writing is still full-time work) so hopefully I will find time to post plenty of art over the next while. I'm hitting Prague in July, which is supposed to be a most inspiring place.
